I graduated from high school in 1983 and attended ITU Ocean Engineering and METU Geological Engineering departments until 1992. I have been active in the marine and coastal conservation field since 1987 and I was appointed as project executant for Turkey’s first seal&sea&coastal conservation project in 1993 by WWF International and the Turkish Ministry for the Environment. I have worked in this field for 24 years. I have also worked as an import & export expert in payroll or freelance.
In my photography, I mostly focus on daily life and seascapes & landscapes. My three long-term projects are on the life of artisanal fishers, olive trees/groves in Turkey, and the protected seascapes of Turkey.
I have taken photographs since the 1980s. I live in Ankara, Türkiye.
